NOTE regarding MatLab: Matlab is installed on all the computers in the Ayres computer lab (Ayres 15). It may be installed elsewhere on campus, but it probably is not. If you want to use Matlab on your home computer, you can purchase a student copy of it from the Computer Store in the UC. (It costs about $100.) There is a Freeware version of Matlab called Octave (http://www.octave.org/) that is available for most operating systems and which runs most Matlab commands. If you want to have a program similar to Matlab on your personal computer (without having to pay for it), this is one option. | |
