Sinusoids

The graphic representation of a sine or cosine function is a curve called a sinusoid. They are termed periodic because they repeat themselves at regular intervals. A cycle of a periodic function is the part of the graph from one point on the graph to the point at which the graph starts to repeat itself. The amplitude is the distance from its axis to a high or low point.
