CARMINE & TIM SCHULZE

We both grew up in the Pacific Northwest near Portland. After graduating from the University of Washington, we headed to Chicago where Tim went to graduate school at Northwestern. During Tim's post-doc years we lived in NYC and England.

In 1999 we made Knoxville our home, and enjoy the scenic beauty this area offers. Tim is a mathematics professor at the Univ. of Tennessee, and Carmine designs websites. Together we enjoy hiking, poker, travel, reading, music, and movies.

Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter once said: “A strong nation, like a strong person, can afford to be gentle, firm, thoughtful and restrained. It can afford to extend a helping hand to others. It's a weak nation, like a weak person, that must behave with bluster and boasting and rashness and other signs of insecurity.”
